I've been using webex on my mac for a while now for work meetings. Then one day I tried to open it and it gave me an alert saying webex was a corrupt app and to move it to the trash can. To resolve the issue:

  1. Open Outlook, click the File tab, then choose Options.
  2. Click the Add-Ins button.
  3. In the Manage drop-down menu, choose Disabled Items, then click Go...
  4. Highlight the entry for Productivity Tools and click the Enable button.
    Note: If Productivity Tools does not appear under Disabled Items, refer to the alternate fix below.
  5. Exit and restart Outlook.
    Once Outlook has restarted, the Webex toolbar should be visible.

If Productivity Tools does not appear under Disabled Items:

  • Check Webex Settings:
    1. Go to Start > All Programs > Webex > Productivity Tools > Preferences.
    2. Click on the 'Meet Now' Settings tab.
    3. Make sure all the info is filled in.
    4. Check the Scheduled Meetings tab make sure the Meeting password is filled in if it's a required field.
    5. Click on the Tools tab.
    6. Uncheck Microsoft Outlook, click on Apply.
    7. Check Microsoft Outlook, then click Apply and OK.
      Note: This toggles Outlook Integration and refreshes the link between Productivity Tools and Outlook. This is an important step.
    8. Restart Outlook 2010.
      If the Webex toolbar still does not appear, try the following steps.
  • Try uninstalling and re-installing the Webex Productivity Tools, then restart Outlook.

Note: You must enter your Webex account credentials in Productivity Tools for the toolbar to display in Outlook.

The Cisco Webex Meetings Scheduler for Microsoft Office 365 has the following known issues and limitations:

  • The minimum system requirements for Webex Meetings Scheduler are:

    • Microsoft Office 365 for Windows version 1808

    • Microsoft Office 2019 for Windows version 1901

    • Microsoft Office 365 for Mac version 16.22

    • Microsoft Office 2016 for Mac version 16.16.7

  • On Microsoft Outlook for Mac version 16.32, the Webex Meetings Scheduler works when the New Outlook toggle is turned off. The Webex Meetings Scheduler does not work when the New Outlook toggle is turned on.

  • The user must be using the same email address for the Office 365 account and for the Webex Meetings user account. The Webex Meetings Scheduler doesn't support having different email addresses for each account.

  • For Webex meetings that are scheduled with the Webex Meetings Scheduler, users will see the Join button on Webex video devices only if the Cisco Webex Hybrid Calendar Service is enabled and configured according to the instructions in Make it Easier for Video Devices to Join Meetings with OBTP.

  • Webex Personal Conference meetings with Webex Audio and audio-only meetings with teleconference service provider (TSP) audio are supported, but audio-only meetings with TSP audio are not supported for the Webex Meetings Scheduler.

  • The delegation scheduling is available on Windows Outlook client, starting from version 1910 (build 12130 20272).

  • Webex sites that use tracking codes are not currently supported.

  • The Webex Meetings Scheduler doesn't currently recognize meetings that were scheduled with Cisco Webex Productivity Tools or the Cisco Webex Meetings desktop app.

  • The Webex Meetings Scheduler is currently supported only for the Outlook apps for Windows, Mac, and Web. In the Outlook mobile app, users can edit the meeting time, topic, and attendees, but cannot yet schedule Webex meetings.

  • If a user adds a Webex meeting to an appointment, signs out of the Webex Meetings Scheduler app, and then sends the appointment, the meeting isn't created in the Webex Meetings Scheduler.

  • When deleting an occurrence of a recurring meeting, only the latest ten occurrences within 2 years can be deleted, due to a performance limitation.

  • When updating one occurrence of a recurring meeting to an exception meeting, only an occurrence within 2 years can be updated successfully, due to a performance limitation.

  • When a meeting is in progress, updates to a scheduled Webex meeting will be out of sync on the Webex site.

  • The Add Webex Meeting button never changes. The button label is the same whether you add a standard Webex meeting, a Webex Personal Room meeting, or if you've already added a Webex meeting. You can't cancel the Webex meeting that you've added to the Outlook meeting by using the button. If you want to cancel a Webex meeting, you cancel the meeting in Outlook. If you want to keep the Outlook meeting, you manually delete the Webex meeting content in the invite.

  • Outlook for Mac: The alternate host list can't be refreshed automatically when new invitees are added to the meeting.

  • Outlook for Windows:

    • Occasionally, users may have to sign in multiple times.

    • The text, '-- Do not delete or change any of the following text. –' doesn't appear in the body of the email invite.

  • If a recurring meeting is already scheduled in Outlook, we don't support adding a Webex meeting to a single occurrence of that meeting.

  • Password changes aren't supported.

  • Users must click the Update meeting button to apply meeting option changes.
